Earwax (Cerumen) Removal
Cerumen, or ear wax, can be removed from the ear canal so that it does not interfere with listening or comfort, especially for individuals who wear hearing aids. If you’re experiencing frequent blockages, contact our office to learn more about how we can assist you with earwax removal and help you prevent further problems in the future.
Hearing Tests and Assessments
When was the last time you had your hearing checked? Because most hearing loss is gradual, many people are unaware it is happening. If you have problems understanding what others are saying, ask people to repeat themselves or think others mumble, you may have hearing loss. If it difficult to hear others when there is background noise (such as in restaurants) or when in groups (such as meetings or parties) you may have hearing loss. If family or friends complain about the television volume, it’s time to check your hearing.
Allison Audiology & Hearing Aid Center will identify any hearing loss you have and come up with solutions to help you hear better. We are trained and equipped to provide a wide range of diagnostic tests including:
- Video otoscopy
- Otoacoustic emissions (OAEs)
- Middle ear evaluations
- Audiometric testing
- Speech Understanding / Processing testing in quiet and noise
