Dr. Sasahara earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, followed by her doctor of audiology degree from the University of South Alabama.
She was drawn to audiology as a career after seeing firsthand the difference better hearing made for her grandmother. After witnessing how improved hearing impacted her communication and overall quality of life, Dr. Sasahara became inspired to pursue a career where she could make that same kind of meaningful difference for others.
Dr. Sasahara’s daily responsibilities at Allison Audiology include conducting hearing assessments; evaluating patients' hearing needs; fitting and adjusting hearing aids and assistive listening devices; and providing ongoing support and hearing education to help patients hear.
She loves building relationships with patients and seeing them at follow-up appointments when they share their experiences of hearing better. This is always an exciting moment for her. Dr. Sasahara finds seeing the real-life impact of hearing care extremely rewarding.
She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and two dogs; trying out new coffee shops; cooking different recipes; being outdoors; and exploring everything Houston has to offer.
